Alpha Gamma Omega…
Alpha Gamma Omega is a national Christ-Centered fraternity established in 1927.
Since its inception, ΑΓΩ has focused on serving and witnessing
to the Greek community while building up young Christian men and leaders in a close-knit
fellowship. Chartered at USC in February of 2001, the fraternity has quickly grown
and become an influential member in one of the nation’s strongest Greek communities.
Activating more than 100 brothers in five years, there is no doubt that a huge need
at USC has been met for a Christian brotherhood within the fraternity system. Quickly
acclimating to the traditions of the Greek system, ΑΓΩ excels
in the academic, athletic, philanthropic, and social activities of the community
while representing Christian ideas in all of its participation.
The fraternity has been honored with several awards recently, including:

Fraternity Purposes
Believing in the Lord Jesus Christ as our personal savior, we, as Christian young
men of Alpha Gamma Omega Fraternity purpose that it shall be the aim of this Fraternity:
Fraternity Verse
"Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed,
rightly dividing the word of truth."
II Timothy 2:15
The Meaning Behind the Letters
Α - Alpha
The first letter of the Greek alphabet (and the equivalent of our modern letter
"A"), alpha represents the beginning and the foundation of things.
To us, Alpha signifies God as the creator and master planner, eternally existent
for all time, and the One who is always in control.
Γ - Gamma
As the third letter of the Greek alphabet, Gamma symbolizes the letter "C" of the
modern Roman alphabet - C for Christ.
So then, Jesus is the center of our Fraternity, as well as the center of all history
from begining to end. It was God's intervention into our world, when he came as
a man and lived with us, that makes it possible for us to call on the name of our
Father in heaven, and see God's plan of redemption working in all history, globally
and in each of our own personal lives.
Ω - Omega
Omega is the ultimate letter, and has stood for the completion of things and the
end of time since ancient days. In it, our hope of a "Fraternity for Eternity" is
seen, for we know that our life in Christ is eternal, and our fellowship will never
die. And we look to Christ, when he says:
"Behold, I am coming soon! My reward is with me, and I will give to everyone according
to what he has done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning
and the End."
Revelation 22:12-13 (NIV)
